BEAUTY: I am in love with e.l.f. products and recently picked up this fabulous tintedlip balm with SPF 15. Only $3.00 and it’s super moisturizing with a touch of color plus it protects your smackers from harmful rays. For a lipgloss/lipbalm/lipstick addict, it’s perfect for casual days when you are heading to the gym, the pool or just hanging at home. Target has the biggest selection of e.l.f products!
STYLE: One of my fave “go to” items is a chic black blazer, but it can become boring when you wear it on a regular basis. The quickest ways to transform and add life to any boring outfit is to add a colorful statement necklace. I’m obsessed with this turquoise bib necklace I picked up on my trip to Africa a few years ago. A colorful geometric necklace is also super hot this Spring/Summer.
INSPIRATION: Toward the end of a long hike yesterday, I came across these wooden stairs. My legs were totally fatigued, but I had to climb these stairs to get to my car. Grrrrrrr- I just stood there panting and annoyed that I had to tackle these after I already made the long journey. Funny, this is such a profound symbolism for our life’s journey, isn’t it?! I had to snap a pic as a reminder. Of course, I sucked it up and climbed this short- but challenging- flight of stairs and made it to the finish line, my car and A/C. Just when you think you can’t go on any longer, remember you are stronger than you “feel” so keep climbing, keep going and never give up no matter what hurdles, mountains, valleys, potholes or staircases you encounter along the journey. Dig deeper and you will reach the finish line with hands waving in the air and breeze in your hair.
I’m thrilled to share my latest drugstore score with you girls.As you know, my favorite foundation is Makeup Forever’s HD Invisible Coverage, but I wanted to find out if there was a comparable drugstore version. SCORE! Let me introduce you to Revlon’s PhotoReady Makeup. It has the same texture and airbrushed look as Makeup Forever with even better coverage! An important feature I always look for with a foundation is the PUMP and Revlon has it. When a bottle has a large opening and the foundation has to be poured into your hand it grows bacteria much faster and shortens the life of the bottle. It is always difficult to purchase the right shade of foundations from the drugstore because you can’t test and swatch the colors, but luckily– I chose the perfect shade and it’s almost the exact shade as the MF color I use. The best part is Revlon is only $12.99 VS the $45 price tag on MF. Beauty on a budget! Gotta love it!
Revlon PhotoReady™ Makeup – for poreless, airbrushed skin in any light. Photochromatic pigments bend and reflect light to erase every flaw. Complete, yet undetectable coverage. Soft, luminous finish.
How are you doing with this week’s affirmations? The topic of People Pleasing seemed to resonate with several of you and I appreciate you who were brave enough to comment and voice the issue.This really is a daily practice. Just like an alcoholic who chooses every single day NOT to take that drink, we have to choose daily to say NO when we should, to stand up for our wants/needs, to set AND stick to our boundaries and most of all……Love + Respect ourselves.
One of the questions I have been asked the most lately is how to start incorporating some fun Spring items in your wardrobe while it’s still chilly outside. Here’s 5 simple ways to make a smooth + stylish transition:
Here’s the beauty products I mentioned:
{Bright Nail Polish}
{Loreal LeGloss in Watermelon Crush}
{Rimmel London Kate Moss Collection #17}
{Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Blush in Rose}
{Neutrogena Micro Mist Airbrush Self Tanner in DEEP}
{Loreal Sublime Bronze in DEEP- gives you instant color + a touch of shimmer}
{Milani Baked Bronzer in Soleil #5}
To celebrate Spring and You, why not treat yourself to a fun new accessory, pair of shoes or at least a new lipgloss this weekend! It’s funny how happy my new emerald scarf makes me feel. A scarf is an easy and inexpensive way to spruce up your wardrobe!
Remember to shop your closet before you hit the stores. There are several styles that are carrying over from the past few seasons.
Share, Like, Tweet + Comment. I always love to hear from you!
There were several great questions submitted here on the blog and on theFacebook Pageand {woohoo} it makes my job a whole lot easier knowing exactly the issues you girls are dealing with in your closets! In today’s webisode, I tackle 3 great topics:
What to pair with navy?
How to layer without looking like you added 10 lbs?
What’s a cute outfit to wear to my kids games instead of my typical yoga pants?
{Navy is for the fashionista not just the corporate biz man}
{Key to layering= wear thin fabrics}
{No yoga pants except to yoga class}
Wishing you plenty of blue skies, leopard print, red lipstick and bouncin’ & behavin’ hair to make you happy the rest of the week!

I recently asked you all to submit your questions and concerns and WHOA BABY- sounds like lots of you girls are suffering from hormonal adult acne. (GRRRRR!!!) I have been there, done that and know too well how your self-esteem suffers from it. In today’s webisode, I give you the strategy that has helped me win the battle once and for all. (HALLELUJAH!!!) We usually see the first signs of adult acne in our late 20′s when our hormones start changing and many women experience it after childbirth when their hormones are regulating. Then, several women may experience it all over again in their 50′s-60′s as they go through menopause. With a few minor tweaks and supplements, we can all experience the freedom of beautiful, clear, healthy skin! This is an extra long video because I just couldn’t edit out any info!
Get out your notepad + pen….
{Cleanser with Salicylic Acid}
{Fave scrub by Sia Botanics}
{Weekly At-Home Greek Yogurt Facial}
{Blueberries Neutralize Oils}
{Turmeric Spice or in a Supplement Form}
{VERY IMPORTANT}
Final Tip- Drink lots of water!
{Truth}
Beautiful skin really does start within, not only with healthy eating and supplements, but through a low-stress lifestyle! Did this info help? Please click like and share! Tweet it too!
As early as I can remember, I have loved shoes! From yoyo’s to jellies to clogs to checkered vans and Doc Marten’s, I remember how great it felt to rock a brand new pair to school. I thought I was HOTSTUFF! Who relates? Who shopped at Wild Pair? That was the first shoe store I remember absolutely loving. Ahhh, brings back memories!
Shoes say so much about a person. If you see a gal wearing a pair of red platform peep-toe heels, you automatically think her personality is flirty, fun, bold and confident, right? On the other hand, if you see someone wearing a pair of fringe moccasins, she may be a free-spirited, peace + love, hippie chick. Hmmm, I just realized I have both which means I have a bit of a multiple personality when it comes to shoes. I don’t really consider myself totally obsessed with shoes or how many pair I own, but I definitely can get pretty darn giddy (as you will see in the video…calm down Tiff) over a fabulous shoe or boot.
In the beginning of my marriage, I gave away most of my shoes or sold the designer ones on Ebay and had to share a tiny closet with my hub’s….YES, TOTAL MISERY! Just sayin’! I have been able to slowly build my collection back up and couldn’t pass up the opportunity to show it off along with the awesome closet Aaron built for me, on the new web channel by Nine West called CHANNEL 9. It’s the ultimate shoe lovers entertainment destination. Bringing you the most up to date tips and trends for the fashionista. I appreciate them allowing us to give a shout out to SOS and a major plug for the hub’s music!
What is your shoe personality?
Health + Beauty Tip:
I recently found out that eating just 2-3 Brazil Nuts per day add significant health + beauty benefits! They are an excellent source of mono-unsaturated fatty acids (MUFA) like palmitoleic acid and oleic acid that helps to lower LDL or “bad cholesterol” and increases HDL or “good cholesterol” in the blood. Brazil Nuts are also packed with selenium, vitamin E, B-complex vitamins and several minerals like copper, magnesium, manganese, potassium, calcium, iron, phosphorus, and zinc. Did you know that SELENIUM aids the production of an antioxidant called GLUTATHIONE, which slows down the skin’s aging process by repairing cell damage from things like sun overexposure? I HAD NO IDEA! By zapping free radicals, glutathione and vitamin E also help protect the skin’s oil and essential fats that keep it watertight and hydrated, while vitamin E promotes skin healing. This means they help with wrinkles AND acne! Woohoo! Go buy a bag today! Remember, selenium is harmful in large quantities so just eat a few at a time!
Remember to share the Beauty, Style + Inspiration with your girlfriends!

Be Inspired…
As you decompress at night, take a deep inhale then slowly exhale any angst, drama, tension or ill feelings you are carrying. Do not take it to bed with you! It’s like poison and will disrupt your sleep and will carry over into your day tomorrow. Lay your head down tonight and give thanks for the good, happy, fun, successful and beautiful feelings you had today. Say to yourself that “Tomorrow is a brand new day and it will be AMAZING!!”
NEVER GIVE UP. If you feel like you can’t go on and it’s as if you are running on fumes and about to putter out…..STOP, take a beat, yield, pause, take a deep breath, exhale…then dig a little deeper and muster up more strength! Girl, you’ve got reserves. You are stronger than you realize…SO KEEP ON KEEPIN’ ON! Set your mind for the joy, success and fun you will have in the coming week. I love the clean slate we are all given on Monday! Here’s you affirmations for the week:
I WILL….
Silently send love to a crazy driver instead of a curse word.
Lay off excess sugars + starches.
Rock a bold, stylish item over the same old, comfy one I always wear.
Buy myself a bouquet of my fave fresh flowers.
Be a giver instead of a taker.
Not look at my cell phone or computer before I have a moment of peace in the A.M.
Choose faith over fear.
Listen to a friend who needs to vent + not give her my 2-cents. Unless she asks:-)
Walk barefoot on the grass at least once.
Eat a handful of almonds instead of a handful of chips.

I wish you a week full of girlie giggles, blue skies + bubble baths!
When you close your eyes and think of the word, ABUNDANCE, what comes to mind? Here is Webster’s definition:
a·bun·dance [noun] 1.an extremely plentiful or oversufficient quantity or supply. 2.overflowing fullness
This week, my wish for all of us, is that we stop and appreciate the abundance in our lives. It is not about how fat our bank account is or the “things” we acquire. Abundance is feeling vibrant, alive and fully living each day with love and passion. It’s about enjoying the simple moments, the unexpected blessings that make life beautiful and most importantly, being grateful for what we have! Life is short. I watch so many people wasting their lives away trying to get more, do more and earn more money– yet they can’t maintain healthy relationships and their aging themselves too quickly because they are all work and no play. I was one of those people and almost became a drug addict because of it. My resume, the networks and producers I worked for, the size of my paycheck, the Gucci hangbag on my arm and the SUV I drove was my definition of abundance….BOY, did I have it all wrong!
THIS WEEK, I WILL….
Not lower myself by participating in gossip.
Be an encourager instead of a critic.
Get my glow on by eating a serving of blueberries every morning.
Dance, paint, sing or do whatever that makes me feel free.
Rock a dash of leopard print.
Shine my light because the world needs it.
Schedule my workouts as if they are an important meeting.
Simplify my life + clear the clutter wherever it needs it.
Drink a glass of lemon water upon rising before my coffee or tea.
Say a prayer of gratitude for my abundant life.
Release all fears + doubts and GO FOR IT!
{Daily Serving of Blueberries}
{Dash of Leopard Print}
{Shine On}
I would love to hear your comments on how these weekly affirmations have been effective in your life.
We’re in this together!
If you see a sister who’s spark is dim this week, help her out by fanning her flame and be an encouragement instead of a critic.
Is it still summer-like temps where you live? It has been ridiculously HOT HOT HOT here in LA so I’m sure you sisters down in my home state of Texas are still rockin’ the flip flops and sundresses too. Hopefully, in the next few weeks we will all get a break from this heat and be able to wear a pair of slouchy boots at least. My leather jacket has been sweetly calling my name for the past few weeks, “Yoo Hoo Tiffany….Hey, Tiff….I miss you. I’m lonely. Come out and play!”I admit- I do have separation anxiety from it, but it will have to keep hanging there all alone for now. Luckily, there are a few simple tips for transitioning our wardrobes as the temps do slowly begin to drop. LAYERING is the first option to think about and I show you a few simple tweaks in this week’s webisode:
Every once in a while, a book affects you so profoundly that it must be shared! I love it when that happens, don’t you? (Thanks LG!) “The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari” is an inspiring, fun and thought-provoking MUST READ! There are a ton of A-ha’s and words of wisdom that will feed your mind + spirit and get you on the path to living a more RADIANT LIFE. I know you will love it as much as I do. Here are a few great excerpts:
“But it is a perfect world, and you have a perfect life. You do have the power to control your day. You do have the power to think good thoughts. You do have the power to live your dreams!”
“Do not just read anything. You must be very selective about what you put into the lush garden of your mind. It must be immensely nourishing. Make it something that will improve both you and the quality of your life.”
“When you erase fear from your mind, you start to look younger and your health becomes more vibrant.”
Do you have a topic you would like to see a video on? Comment and share….You have my ear sista!
How are you doing so far with this week’s affirmations?
Who is excited to celebrate the official end of summer this holiday weekend? Perhaps many of you are sad to see summer go. I have mixed feelings because I love the long days of sunshine, but this heat has got to go already. It has been fun to read all the comments by you mom’s on Facebook about the kids going back to school and getting more time to yourselves. This is the PERFECT time to focus on YOU and start sprucing up your skin, hair, nails, energy level and wardrobe for Fall. Sounds like a hefty job, but YOU ARE WORTH IT! If you have spent too much time in the sun + chlorine, nibbling on your kids packaged snacks, exercising less and enjoying that extra summer cocktail on a regular basis– then there are a few simple tweaks we can do to get back on track!
BOOK A FACIAL: Because we sweat more in the summer, you may notice more breakouts and blackheads. It is great to have a professional esthetician perform any extractions, deep clean and hydrate your sun-parched skin. Plus, even if you are diligent with your sunscreen you probably picked up a few new sunspots and hyperpigmentation which can be helped with a light glycolic peel, microdermabrasion or my fave, the Hydrafacial. You know I adore at-home facials, but I also firmly believe in treating yourself as often as you can to a professional facial. (I have to give a shout out to my amazing esthetician, Trisha Gilbert at Motykie MedSpa. She gave me an off-the-charts end of summer Hydrafacial last week. If you are in the greater Los Angeles area, book an appt today)
HAIR HYDRATION: Does your hair feel like the scarecrow from Wizard of Oz? Then it’s time to do a DEEP CONDITIONING TREATMENT. There are several great ones on the market, but I love KERESTASE MASQUINTENSE FOR THICK HAIR the most. They also have a formula for fine hair.
EXFOLIATE + HYDRATE SKIN: There are a few different ways to exfoliate the skin which are super effective. I just started DRY BRUSHING a few months ago and love the difference it has made in my skin. There are many important health benefits to it other than just getting the dead skin off. Dry brushing also helps stimulate the lymphatic system. You do this before you get in the shower. Scrubs are also a great way to exfoliate and the essential oils leave your skin hydrated and feeling so soft. There are many fantastic products from Neutrogena, Philosophy, Archipelago and even Trader Joe’s makes a great scrub! If your skin is extremely dry, I recommend slathering on coconut oil or olive oil after showering. Use sparingly so you don’t feel like a piece of chicken ready for the frying pan!
MANI/PEDI PLUS PARAFFIN: Remember a woman’s hands can show aging before her face, so it’s vital that we take care of them. Treat yourself to a mani/pedi with the works (paraffin wax, hot stone, extra massage and callous remover) to get your hands and feet feeling like they belong to a lady and less like a mechanic!
DETOX/ CLEANSE: With the fun BBQ’s, picnics and vacations, we tend to eat more snacks and drink more alcoholic beverages during the summer. This really takes a toll on our energy, our waistline and our metabolism. I don’t go overboard because detoxing can become stressful. Instead we need to look at it as a form of self- love and nurturing our body and organs and not as a “diet”. A few simple things we can alter is the obvious: Lay off the alcohol, additional sugary drinks + snacks, any processed/ packaged foods, excess dairy, wheat, meat. Implement juicing into your daily routine. It does wonders for your organs and energy levels. Eat more fresh raw foods. You should be drinking a protein shake daily, but if not- I highly recommend starting the day with one filled with super greens, antioxidant supplements and either blueberries or strawberries. (REMINDER: If you have specific health issues like heart or thyroid problems or diabetes– you must consult your physician before trying any diet or cleanse)
WARDROBE DETOX: Plan an afternoon to go through your wardrobe and determine what needs to stay, what needs to go and what needs to be moved to another closet. I did this last week and it felt awesome! I was able to see what items I needed to get for Fall and what I what I needed to give away. Then I hit a few of my fave stores and strategically purchased what I needed. This really saves time + money. Here’s my webisode on the topic in case you missed it:
