Hello my fellow shoe lover!
As early as I can remember, I have loved shoes! From yoyo’s to jellies to clogs to checkered vans and Doc Marten’s, I remember how great it felt to rock a brand new pair to school. I thought I was HOTSTUFF! Who relates? Who shopped at Wild Pair? That was the first shoe store I remember absolutely loving. Ahhh, brings back memories!
Shoes say so much about a person. If you see a gal wearing a pair of red platform peep-toe heels, you automatically think her personality is flirty, fun, bold and confident, right? On the other hand, if you see someone wearing a pair of fringe moccasins, she may be a free-spirited, peace + love, hippie chick. Hmmm, I just realized I have both which means I have a bit of a multiple personality when it comes to shoes. I don’t really consider myself totally obsessed with shoes or how many pair I own, but I definitely can get pretty darn giddy (as you will see in the video…calm down Tiff) over a fabulous shoe or boot.
In the beginning of my marriage, I gave away most of my shoes or sold the designer ones on Ebay and had to share a tiny closet with my hub’s….YES, TOTAL MISERY! Just sayin’! I have been able to slowly build my collection back up and couldn’t pass up the opportunity to show it off along with the awesome closet Aaron built for me, on the new web channel by Nine West called CHANNEL 9. It’s the ultimate shoe lovers entertainment destination. Bringing you the most up to date tips and trends for the fashionista. I appreciate them allowing us to give a shout out to SOS and a major plug for the hub’s music!
What is your shoe personality?
Health + Beauty Tip:
I recently found out that eating just 2-3 Brazil Nuts per day add significant health + beauty benefits! They are an excellent source of mono-unsaturated fatty acids (MUFA) like palmitoleic acid and oleic acid that helps to lower LDL or “bad cholesterol” and increases HDL or “good cholesterol” in the blood. Brazil Nuts are also packed with selenium, vitamin E, B-complex vitamins and several minerals like copper, magnesium, manganese, potassium, calcium, iron, phosphorus, and zinc. Did you know that SELENIUM aids the production of an antioxidant called GLUTATHIONE, which slows down the skin’s aging process by repairing cell damage from things like sun overexposure? I HAD NO IDEA! By zapping free radicals, glutathione and vitamin E also help protect the skin’s oil and essential fats that keep it watertight and hydrated, while vitamin E promotes skin healing. This means they help with wrinkles AND acne! Woohoo! Go buy a bag today! Remember, selenium is harmful in large quantities so just eat a few at a time!
