HEY YOU! It’s OK to be Beautiful

simone

Happy Friday Fabulous Ones!

One of my absolute favorite things to do is spend time with women who are fully living their purpose. These women exude confidence, passion and an indescribable radiance. Yesterday, I had the blessing of spending much of the afternoon and evening with a beautiful Australian woman with all of these qualities. It was a true gift to glean from her wisdom and experience. I’m thrilled to introduce you to Simone Leslie!  This statuesque stunning blonde is a mom, wife, author, speaker, minister and master neuro strategist. Her journey is one that I relate to and I know you will to. I could not wait to light a candle and dive into her book this morning! It draws you in with inspiring photography, quotes and easy-to-read short stories that crack open your heart.  Plus, her book is complimented with a touching song that is like salve to the soul and speaks to a woman’s worth–  appropriately called “Beautiful”.

Simone Leslie was presenting to millions on national television in her early 20’s and friends thought she had the world at her feet, yet behind the confident mask was a broken hearted, suicidal little girl. Her book, It’s OK to be Beautiful – Heavenly whispers to a Broken Heart has touched and healed thousands of lives. Written in a neurological way, this book addresses the root cause of depression and anxiety disorders. Designed to create a shift in the core programming levels of the brain, these short stories and revelations will make you laugh and cry but most of all, allow you to see yourself through the eyes of love and truth, bringing healing and wholeness, setting up the foundation of success.

its-ok-to-be-beautifull_3d3-500x500

“Most often the thing that limits us from achieving our dreams and goals is not the lack of knowledge or ability; it’s within our very own brain. The beliefs & neural programs we run off, what we subconsciously believe about life, what we deserve, our worth & core identity. Be it personal or business and professional outcomes, the process for breaking through to our desired outcomes always involves the discovery of limiting neurological pathways. We can then rewire them to create smooth and empowering neural programs that deliver exponential results!” Simone explains.

Occasionally you will read a book that seems to understand who you are and where you are at. It can leave a profound mark on your soul and change your path for good. This book is a raw gem offering transparency and truth taking you on an eventful journey that offers healing, understanding and love, pointing you toward your own profound revelation and change. This book makes the perfect gift for the women in your life who desires to step into their destiny! Get it on Simone’s website or on Amazon.

MEET CHRISTINE HANDY: Author of “Walk Beside Me” — Giveaway

30

What prompted you to share your story in book form?  I felt like by sharing my story I could promote friendship in a world full of woman tearing each other down. I felt that showing truth about how fulfilling female relationships could be could transform womans lives. I felt a nudge to show the awe inspiring glory of Gods earthly angels and the power they can have in our lives to uphold us when we have no pavement below our feet. If I could help one life then the power of the written word was worth it. To encourage even one person to stand up to a doctors misdiagnosis, a doctors arrogance and bullying then my book would be worth it.

How has the writing experience helped you grow and heal even more?  The writing experience has helped me grow emotionally and spiritually. God gave me the book I always wanted to write. Writing a book had always been my life’s dream.  It may not have been the story I dreamt of writing, but it was Gods story and I had to be faithful. The writing process was also healing to a mountain of open wounds I had from the doctors that bullied me to the daunting chemo that I had to endure. My story is a powerful tale and writing it after I lived it helped me see it in a different light. A light that gave me hope and showed me my own bravery.

What’s the core message you want readers to be inspired by from your story? My core message in Walk Beside Me is about friendship. the true power of friends. Not friends who stand by you for a few days but friends who never forsake you and stand by you season after season. Its a story of friends that sustain and carry you when you cant carry yourself. It’s a story about woman never giving up on one and sacrificing so much of their own lives for that one person without any need for thanks. The only thanks these woman wanted was to glorify God.

If you could pick just one line from the book– what would it be and why? My favorite line in my book is this. “ your being, your love, your gratitude – that’ s your music. It takes place inside of you, and you are the machine that can play. There’s no other instrument like you, nowhere in the world. That’s what makes you unique.”

What’s next for you? What are you working on now?  I am working on the sequel to Walk Beside Me right now. I am about half way through and it’s so exciting. The story is very different than the first, its the after illness life. Its very dramatic and full of life so to speak, a real page turner. I am speaking Nationally on my book and on empowering woman and other topics such as bullying and how to be unstoppable. I am also doing a book tour this fall. Its all very positive and life giving. Its been very rewarding to be out in the world living after being sick and in bed for so long. I feel lucky and I feel ALIVE.

Unfulfilled Potential Sucks

FullSizeRender-54

Just saying the words “unfulfilled purpose” makes me cringe! Who wants to die with their music still inside them? NO ONE! Finding our purpose is a common topic these days in the self-development world. We are all longing and searching for more fulfillment in our life. We crave a sense of purpose and want that fire in our belly when we wake up in the morning. We usually find our purpose on the road (usually a very bumpy, winding one) of growth.

How about you?

Are you living fully in your purpose or are you on a journey of seeking it?

Do you place your personal growth as a priority?

Are you intentional about it or are you meandering through life?

If you have been part of SOS for a while, you know I am mega-passionate about my personal growth journey. I adopted the philosophy that if you’re not growing you’re dying. At this stage of my journey, it’s more excruciating for me to stay stagnant than it is to go through the pain of growth and change. I’ve often written and spoken about vision, goal and intention setting, affirmations and just about every tool that will help us move forward. Ok, I’m a bit obsessed. Maybe it’s because I’m a late bloomer and I’m trying to make up for many lost years when I was fooling around and chasing all the wrongs things. I digress.

I see the greatness in people. I see their potential. I want to yank it out of them. But, as much as I can encourage others and give them tools- ultimately, they have to do the work just like I have to do my work. I don’t know about you, but I want to become ALL not some, not a little, not a glimpse, but all that God created me to be. I believe when we embrace that and move confidently toward it — we honor Him.

For the past six or seven years, I take the month of January to focus on this work. It’s important to me that I seek God for guidance and reveal the areas that I really need to focus on. Remember, everyone’s journey is different. At times we are white knuckled and scaling the mountain then we are tip toeing through the daisies in the valley. So, please never judge where you are in your journey to someone else. I read something the other day to the effect of “don’t judge your chapter 2 to someone else’s chapter 22”. Give yourself grace in this process. Heck, just be glad you are in the process, period.

I’ve been reading a ton this month and just had to share this ah-mazing book by John C. Maxwell called THE 15 INVALUABLE LAWS OF GROWTH. His books are always filled with nuggets of wisdom, but this one has especially made an impression on me. He has taken everything he has garnered over 50 years in the personal development industry and shares it in this one book. IT’S SO FREAKIN’ GOOD!!!

FullSizeRender-53

Here’s a few of the Laws:

  • The Law of the Mirror: You Must See Value in Yourself to Add Value to Yourself
  • The Law of Awareness: You Must Know Yourself to Grow Yourself
  • The Law of Modeling: It’s Hard to Improve When You Have No One But Yourself to Follow
  • The Law of the Rubber Band: Growth Stops When You Lose the Tension Between Where You are and Where You Could Be
  • The Law of Contribution: Developing Yourself Enables You to Develop Others

This is the perfect book to read at the beginning of the year to set your mind in the right direction! Get it on Amazon then grab a highlighter, a cup of coffee and get to work.

Don’t prolong the pain of being stagnant and your potential being unfulfilled. Growth and change is a choice.

WHAT DO YOU CHOOSE TODAY?

Please share this with any girlfriends who are also serious about growing on purpose.

If you read the book, please stop back by and let me know what you think!

Love, Tiff

HAPPY THANKSGIVING! My Gratitude List A to Z

dallas-skyline-lodozo.com

Who is excited for Thanksgiving week? ME! We get a short work week, quality time with those we love, yummy food, naps without guilt and time to focus on what we are truly grateful for. I’m looking forward to sitting on my mom’s couch, turning off my brain and catching up on magazines together. Have I mentioned how much I love being in Texas and able to jaunt down to Houston to see my folks? This Thanksgiving Day marks our 2 year anniversary living in Dallas.

Time has flown.

So much has happened.

Amazing doors have opened.

My heart is full.

I have to say, this is one of the greatest gifts I am grateful for this week. Like any big move, we’ve had our share of wonky moments- but Dallas has become home and we are grateful for the beautiful souls in the city who have embraced us with open arms. It proves stepping out into the unknown is always rewarding.

Thanksgiving week is the perfect lead in to the holiday season and end of the year. What’s better than ending the year full of gratitude?!? This mindset and practice will set you up for success in the new year. Hello 2016!

gratitude-definition

Does expressing gratitude come easy to you or do you find it difficult to focus on your blessings in the midst of your burdens?  Practicing gratitude has become a daily part of my life, but it wasn’t always that way. I was a chronic complainer and my life was a reflection of it. I was a mess, my life was a mess and my thoughts were a mess. It all starts with your thoughts so if you need a little help getting started on living a life of gratitude and changing the way you think- keep it simple with an A to Z list. We all have so much to be grateful for and the more you focus on those things,  you’ll unlock an abundance of blessings to flow to you and chase you down.

Join me in creating a fun list. I am grateful for:

A- Accessories. They are my obsession and add an exclamation point to any outfit.

B- Bible. My favorite ‘self help’ book! Joyce Meyer has a great amplified version:

JM_bible

C- Coats. They keep us warm on chilly days like today. (If you live in DFW, please drop off your gently worn coats to the Campbell Agency on Oak Lawn & Blackburn for their coat drive)

D- Dogs. My little Zoe has been the best companionship. She’s also been in a pain in the butt, but I love her. She’s a bundle of love.

E- Encouragement. Just this morning I received the most heartfelt email from my Spiritual mentor. Not sure what I would do without her encouragement! #GodSend

F- Faith. Without it, we remain in a hopeless state. Being filled with Faith gives you strength to face each day.

G- God. Without Him, I would be a drug addict, dead, depressed and totally defeated.

H- _________________( fill in the blank)

I- Independence. At times I can be too independent, but I’m so grateful my parents raised me to be an independent woman. It’s important to know you can rely on yourself!

J- _________________(fill in the blank)

K- Kale. It makes my morning smoothie super yummy and packed with antioxidants.

L- Love. My life is overflowing with it. #Blessed

M- ________________ (fill in the blank)

N- Naps. I love them and will take them any time I can!

O- “Oceans”. My all time favorite song by Hillsong.

P- Patience. I’m always running low on it, but getting better with age. Being patient takes away so much stress!

Q- Quinoa. It’s healthy, yummy and a great rice replacement.

R- _________________(fill in the blank)

S- Sisterhood. The women in my life who love me just as I am, call me out on my s@&*, help me shine brighter and pray for me when I’m weak are the sisters God let me choose. Also, this SOS Sistahood has changed my life!

T- Truth. Authenticity and honesty in people are the most attractive attributes to me. I’m always so grateful for people who keep it real!

U- Underwire Bras. Go ahead and LOL… gravity is taking over and they help the “girls” stay cute and perky! Here’s my favorite daily bra by DKNY:

DKNY_bra

V- ________________(fill in the blank)

W- Walks. My natural anti-depressant. I started taking long power walks around 12 or 13 when I was approaching my treacherous teen years. Helps keep me sane and organize my crazy creative thoughts.

X- ________________(good luck with that one..fill in the blank)

Y- Yellow. One of my favorite colors. Brightens even the most dreary day.

Z- Zzzz’s. Did I mention I love to sleep? I’m so grateful when I can catch up on sleep on the weekend.

You’re probably thinking,

“Only on Tiff’s blog can you talk Bibles AND Bras !!”

Hey, I keep it real. They are 2 things we can’t live without.

Please share your ideas and what you filled in the blanks with!

Wishing you all a very blessed Thanksgiving week.

I am grateful for YOU!

Do You Have A Spirit Spot?

photo 2-5

Do you have a “spirit spot” or what I also like to call a “place of peace”

This morning as I was meditating, praying and writing in my journal, I became overwhelmed with gratitude for my “spirit spot”. I knew I had to share this with you on this beautiful Sunday. Seemed appropriate. When I started on my spiritual journey about 12-13 years ago, I found that early morning was the perfect time for me to pray, read and seek God. I am naturally an early bird so it was easy. As I began to see how this practice was transforming and strengthening me, I became addicted to my special morning time. On the mornings I was rushed and skipped it, I would be cranky, short tempered and anxiety-ridden the rest of the day. Now, I do not give up my morning ritual for anything or anyone! With all the people and responsibilities we have, it’s vital to start the day in peace (not frantic with anxiety) and equipped to handle it all.

My “spirit spot” ended up being the couch in the living room complete with a comfy blanket, coffee, candle, Bible, books, journal, highlighter and my furry daughter, Zoe. Now, I realize that this spot works for me because I don’t have kids. A “spirit spot” can be any place YOU can get quiet, connect and feed your spirit. This could be a specific room in the house, on the patio overlooking the pool, a park bench or even in the shower or on the yoga mat.

One of the first things I discuss with my lifestyle mentoring/coaching clients is how they start their day. A common theme I have found among women who need my help, are disconnected from their spirit and constantly exhausted is that they jump out of bed to screaming kids or they hit the snooze button a million times.

If this is you- do you feel a rumbling of anxiety in your gut for the rest of the day?

Then, I highly recommend getting up a bit earlier than your family. Even just 15 minutes earlier will transform how the rest of your day goes. I PROMISE! Is there a spot in your home where you feel calm? A spot where the minute you sit down you exhale and feel the stress drain off. This could be the perfect place of peace for you. If not, create one. Place things around you and in your view that create a sense of joy, peace and comfort in you. My spot in the living room has things that stimulate my senses in a positive way….

  • Furry blanket that is comforting, safe and cozy. (I skip this during the heat of Summer, of course!)
  • My baby girl Zoe, loves to lay in my lap which creates love and connection.
  • An aromatic candle which creates a calm zen atmosphere.
  • Fresh flowers- usually an orchid- which represents love, luxury, beauty and strength.
  • Photos of my family and dearest friends which always reminds me to pray for them & send them positive thoughts.

photo-281

Remember, it’s just as important what we feed our physical body as what we’re feeding our spirit. When you feed your body junk- ice cream, cookies, fried foods, preservatives- you become overweight, sluggish and become a breeding ground for diseases like diabetes, high blood pressure and more. You become what you eat.

What you feed your spirit- YOU BECOME. Do you feed your spirit junk like too many violent/sexually immoral shows & movies, trash mags, too much voyeuristic time on social media and surrounding yourself with gossipers/backstabbers/criticizers?  Trust me– I am not perfect at this and indulge in some ridiculous, mind-sucking reality shows from time to time — but, I am cautious of how much time I spend on things like that. It’s important to be so in tune with your spirit, that you notice when these things are altering your character, behavior and your manner of speaking becomes negative.

Again, this is why it is crucial you begin the day filled up on positivity and peace. As the day goes on, we are bombarded with negative images, tragic news and perhaps a gossipy friend. If you begin the day depleted, whoa- no wonder so many women battle anxiety. I did for a long time!  Sistas, it’s no way to live.

Please share your TWO CENTS on this subject and make a comment!

BEING MISS THRIFTY IS STYLISH & SMART: A Day In My Life

Thrift_books

Happy Sunday Sistas!

Since moving to Dallas, my husband has been in and out of town every month with his CD launch and we haven’t had much time to explore this fab city. Since he was in town for the 4th of July weekend, I decided to introduce him (and reintroduce myself) to all that Dallas has to offer. I love to just get in the car and go on excursions without a hard set schedule. We knew we wanted to have a chill day with some browsing, nibbles and I wanted to get in some thrift shopping.

We started at Bishop Arts District which has changed and grown since I last lived here. This charming, Austin-esque area has some of my favorite eateries as well as eclectic shops and vintage stores. Grab brunch at Oddfellows or dinner at Tillman’s Road House. Tillman’s private dining room is amazing with real trees lining the walls. One of the best meals I’ve ever had. Put this on your to-do list when visiting Big D!

bishop_arts_TiffAaronA few peeps have already asked about my outfit on Instagram so I want to make sure you sistas are in the loop, too. Dress: Rory Beca , Crossbody Bag: Steve MaddenMirrored Aviators: Betsy Johnson

One of my favorite things to do when I lived in Dallas 15 years ago was thrift shopping. The greater DFW area has fantastic thrift and vintage stores. Yesterday was my first opportunity to go hunting – and bless my hubby’s heart – he was so patient. I’m sure thrift shopping is comparable to getting teeth pulled without anesthesia for a man. He was not only patient, he asked Siri where the best locations were!

thrift_books2

One of my intentions for the Summer is making the time to read more. I have ordered a few new titles off Amazon, but the very best place to get books is Goodwill. I’ve mentioned this on the blog before and several of you commented that you also shop there for your books. Well, yesterday – my thrifty shopping angels were on it and led us to a gigantic Goodwill where I found 13 hardcover books at only $2 a pop. HOLLA! I found books to fill many of my interests from leadership and spirituality titles from John C. Maxwell, Max Lucado, Sarah Ban Breathnach, M.Scott Peck MD, Thomas Moore and John Eldredge to Suze Orman’s financial wisdom to a few biographies of successful female TV hosts. I also love giving away the small, but powerful reads by Bruce Wilkinson on the message of John 15 and the Prayer of Jabez so I pick up extra copies whenever I find them.

I was excited to find that my favorite Dallas Salvation Army on Harry Hines was still open and guess what I found there? Three beautiful silk scarves in gorgeous Summer colors for a whopping $8 total. Can I get a double… Holla, Holla! Although thrift shopping takes some skill, a good eye and high tolerance for that funky “vintage smell” – it is so fun and rewarding when you score! Most books average $26 retail and I got 13 for the same price. A good quality silk scarf will run you from $30-300 depending on the brand. So, being thrifty is both stylish and smart, sista!

Thrift_scarves

We still have so much to explore in Dallas, but for our first jaunt around town- it was a total success!  We ended the day hydrating and snacking on the best chips & salsa on the planet at Rafa’s on Lovers Lane. Add it to your list when visiting! You can’t visit any city in Texas without indulging on their best Tex Mex.

I would love to hear your favorite spots for thrift shopping!

Aaron_Tiff_HOBFrom our family to yours, we wish you a Very Merry Christmas & Abundant New Year! Revel in the beauty of the season and take some time to slow down long enough to truly enjoy this time of year. Yes, the mall traffic is nuts… our to-do list for shopping/cooking/parties seems endless- but, make sure to take some time to pamper yourself.  As much as I love staying connected on social media, it’s more important to unplug and be totally present with your loved ones. I mean, isn’t everyone’s thumbs and necks stiff from all the cell phone use?

Also, I’ve had several conversations lately about how so many of us have gone through major challenges and changes in 2013. If you have as well, consider yourself stronger & wiser as you go into 2014 sista! Challenges and changes strengthen, stretch and sharpen us. It may be unbearable when you’re in the midst of it, but shift your focus to how exciting it is that you are better equipped now. See yourself as a warrior! Pheww- I have gone through so many changes over the past year myself. I’ll be honest- I’ve had my pitty-party days, but as the year is ending I exhale and give thanks for everything I’ve learned, for the thicker skin and softer heart… and the fact that nothing killed me- it just made me stronger and it did you, too.

You are ALL Warrior Women and I am so honored to be part of this Sista-hood with each and every one of you.

I want to leave you all with one of my favorite Promises. Regardless of your religious beliefs, this is a great encouragement for the New Year:

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plan to PROSPER you and not to harm you, to give you HOPE and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

GET TO STEPPIN’ SISTA

TGIF!  I want to end the week with an inspiring passage from an awesome book, Shift Happens! by Robert Holden, Ph.D.

One step is all it takes to find your bridge– one “YES”, one act of courage, one radical thought, one shift in perception, one dare, one prayer, one moment of forgiveness, one apology, or one phone call. Remember, you are the alchemist. The world mirrors your intention, your trust, and your faith. Either you can wait, or you can start walking.

Unless you choose happiness,

you will wait forever for it.

Unless you bring a new intention,

the outcome will be the same.

Unless you let go of your past,

you will not see the present.

Unless you drop your defenses,

you will never reach safety.

Unless you first commit to her,

you will not see her beauty.

Unless you first commit to him,

he cannot be the one.

Unless you are ready to love,

you will not find love.

Unless you give up your ego,

you will not discover your spirit.

Wishing you a weekend full of fun and refueling! Dance across the living room to an old Madonna song. Take a bubble bath and sing at the top of your lungs like Julia Roberts did in Pretty Woman. Pick up a bouquet of your favorite flowers. Watch the squirrels play in the backyard.

Do whatever it is that makes your Spirit happy.

Love, Tiff

SOS asked Susie to share her thoughts on a few topics we see many women dealing with today:

SOS: Many women seem to lose confidence in themselves when they become a new mother. What is your #1 piece of advice for women who feel they’ve lost their spunk, sizzle, moxie and sex appeal after they have a baby?

SA: Due to the celebrities we see in the media, we have a false perception of women regarding beauty, fitness, and bouncing back to pre-baby weight and body immediately after having a baby. The average woman doesn’t have the access to a personal chef, trainer, nannies, housekeepers, or the funds for liposuction, photo shoots and airbrushing. To all the new moms out there, give yourself huge credit for going through childbirth and putting the health and happiness of your new baby and family first. Don’t compare yourself to celebrity moms. It’s not realistic to bounce back right away in a bikini. It’s all about what works in your lifestyle.

You have to take a moment for yourself every day. Take a shower and put on some makeup to start your day off right. Planning a date night at least once a month is essential, as parenthood puts stress on a relationship. Remind your partner on date night how sexy you are by throwing on some heels, hoop earrings, lipstick, and strut your sass -confidence is sexy to men!

SOS: What was the best beauty tip you ever received and who was it from?

SA: Smile!  A smiling, happy face is a beautiful face. I’ve heard this throughout my life and I’ve been telling this to girls and women for years. As far as beauty products, my mom started selling Avon when I was eleven. I was introduced to washing my face and wearing sun protection daily at an early age. Years later studies showed that aging skin (lines, wrinkles, skin discoloration) is due to sun damage, so I’m grateful that I took preventative measures.

SOS: You are on a mission to motivate other women to look and feel their best, but how have YOU personally stayed motivated through the years? Many women seem to hit a certain age and just give up or throw in the towel…

SA: Staying positive, following my dreams and living a healthy lifestyle keep me centered, confident and enthusiastic about life. I enjoy being around like-minded people, so most of my friends are the same way. We constantly motivate and inspire each other. As we go through changes and challenges in life – stress, divorce, childbirth, health issues, weight gain, entering a new decade – we are able to lean on each other to get tips on how to look and feel better. I’ll set health, fitness, and weight loss goals with some of my friends. Many times we’ll do it together and keep each other on track. When you realize that we all go through ups and downs and experience insecurities, you feel less alone and the size of your challenges feel more manageable. I also regularly attend personal development seminars and networking events and am meeting fabulous new friends with similar interests.

SOS: Women are spread so thin and wear so many hats these days.  In your book, you teach the importance of living a balanced life.  We always need to reset and readjust things in order to stay on track. How do you reset when you find yourself getting unbalanced?

SA: The eight keys to living a balanced life in my book Sexy, Fit & Fab at Any Age are Spirit, Nutrition, Exercise, Education, Passion, Personality, Grooming and Sex Appeal. I do my best to stay balanced but it can be a challenge, even when you are pursuing your passions and everything in life is great. Setting goals and priorities are a great way to stay on track. Start with small goals and take baby steps. It’s not always practical trying to do everything every day. Be flexible. I like to start off my day with the first three keys, by taking a quick walk, having a green drink, writing in my journal and listening to an inspirational CD. Some days I have two hours for this, and other days only 45 minutes. I’ve learned not to be so hard on myself if I can’t get it all done, and remember that small cumulative steps can slowly build up to beautiful results.

SOS: What would you tell your 16 year old self?

SA: Take care of yourself and follow your dreams. Be patient, flexible, and open to things happening in unexpected ways. Be okay that life doesn’t always go according to your schedule; sometimes it takes longer or the outcome may be even greater than you’d dreamed. Know that your inner and natural beauty is one of your biggest assets.

SOS: Many people aspire to become an author and share their message with the world, but it seems like a daunting task.  How did you get started? What’s the first step to writing a book?

SA: I’ve always been passionate about reading and writing since I was young, and even my friends had me proofread and correct their book reports for them. Years later I went into the beauty industry and did everything from skincare, makeup, sales, training, marketing and copywriting. So it was through natural progression that my friend Kim Somers Egelsee asked me to speak at Willow Tree Circle about beauty and sex appeal. Women of all ages were interested in knowing more and asked when my book was coming out. During this time, Kim asked me to edit her book Getting Your Life to a 10 Plus. I started Get Branded Press and published both of our books and we had an amazing red carpet book launch, as well as hitting the Amazon Bestseller list. This is an amazing testament to what can happen when women practice being supportive of each other rather than competitive.

Since we both get requests daily for tips on how to write a book, what the process is, how to overcome writer’s block, and how to self-publish, we created Writing to WOW, a book writing workshop that is coming this September. The workshop includes visualizations to open up creativity, choosing a topic to write on, learning how to outline your book, and more. Complete information will be posted on my website soon at http://www.SexyFitFab.com. In the meantime, grab a notebook and pen (yes, I’m asking you to write, not type, as this opens up creativity) and make a list of your interests and passions. Pick one and write a paragraph about it. Challenge yourself to write even more. I also suggest writing in a journal daily. Get your feelings out, vent, write a gratitude list or to-do list for the day. You don’t need to be eloquent or articulate, just start writing!
