The Start Of My Fab Vegan Collection

Happy Sunday Sistas!

FullSizeRender-12

As you all know, I love a good shoe sale! The hunt and rush of finding fabulous foot candy is well, how to say it…I’m an addict ok…without apologies! I’ve mentioned early in the birth of this blog that when I got married and took a step back from my television career, my shopping budget went from Fred Segal and Neiman’s status to TJ Maxx and Marshall’s. Learning to shop with Cristal Champagne taste on a Bud Light budget became a fun form of creativity for me. Of course, after the initial mourning over the loss of all the designer items I sold.

A moment of silence for those Gucci handbags, please.

Now, I get to teach all of you how to get creative! You do not have to sacrifice style and expressing yourself through fashion just because you have to wear Steve Madden instead of Christian Louboutin. I actually sold my remaining few Loubou’s on Ebay to have extra spending money when we moved to Dallas last year and you know what? I don’t miss them one bit. Now, will I add more Loubou’s to my shoe collection at some point? Heck yea sista! I’ve learned to embrace the ebb & flow of life. Even how it pertains to my wardrobe!

Now, to today’s point. As a lover of the finer, most beautifully crafted types of shoes- I admit to being a bit snobby when it came to wearing “vegan” non-leather shoes. Then, a few months ago a client hired me to coach her on image and give her some tips to begin “veganizing” her wardrobe. She made a valid point for wanting to rid her closet of leather goods, but had not been able to find really chic & fashionable items in her country.

SOS to the rescue!

Right before I started working with her, I had just bought a few non-leather handbags that I simply adored. They were so cute I didn’t care that they weren’t expensive Italian leather. There are so many on-trend and stylish companies producing great quality vegan items now. So, I had gotten over my snobby attitude toward bags, but still had an ego about the shoes. My style philosophy has always been that you can wear stylish inexpensive outfits from H & M, but don’t be too chintzy on the shoes. But, we’re always growing and evolving with our fashion sense and when I saw a stylish fashionista rockin’ these hot red fringe booties at an event last month…I just had to have them. Come to find out they were faux suede and under $20. Say what?  By Shoe Republic LA.

My vegan shoe collection has officially been started! The great thing about buying trendy vegan shoes is you can purchase several pair and still have money left over to buy those pair of great fitting jeans or that chic black blazer at a heaftier price tag. If they are super trendy, you may not even wear them the following year and then you aren’t out $1500. Which is equivalent to some people’s mortgage payment! Ouch.

Here are a few more vegan shoes by that I’ve added to the collection…

These blingy leopard print heels above, also by Shoe Republic LA, were a bit over-the-top for me, but they kept calling my name…Pssst, Tiffany…can I come live in your closet room please? If you saw my shoe webisode, you know I’m a firm believer in buying statement specialty shoes.. just because!

Chambray denim is one of THE hottest styles this Spring. So is the high 70’s platform! I was thrilled to find these to wear with colorful floral maxi sundresses.

Stay Chic & Stylish Through Winter {New Webisode}

Hey Fab Ones!

At this point- with all this bizarro freezing weather- you’re probably bored and uninspired by your winter wardrobe. Am I right? I’ve had to dig deep myself and get more creative since I am actually experiencing winter for the first time in 15 years and having to wear coats/gloves/heavier sweaters! I actually wished I had ear muffs today because I didn’t realize it’s not a smart idea to wear my hair in a topknot while out running errands in 32 degree weather. Brrrrrr!

It’s so easy to slip into that schleppy state of being during winter- heck, I don’t even want to shave my legs (poor Aaron), but let’s just say NO to schlepping. I’m excited to kick off the first webisode of the year sharing my 14 tips for staying chic all the way through to Spring.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVE?

_______________________

Ladies, I want to remind you to really take care of yourselves right now. Especially since the kids just went back to school and you’ll be exposed to more germs that they will bring home.  Right before we moved I got so sick with a very high fever, congestion and a cough that I fought for 6 weeks and then relapsed before Christmas and just had to do a 10 day cycle of amoxicillin.

Please keep your feet warm, take extra Vitamin C, keep antibacterial hand sanitizer in your purse, stay hydrated and drink lots of hot tea with honey and lemon to keep your throat and chest lubricated while breathing the indoor heaters then the blast of cold air outdoors.

I am a super healthy gal and had never been sick for so long. Not sure how I made it through the big move and attending so many holiday events- guess I was running on adrenaline and my body never healed so I relapsed hard.  Don’t let this happen to you! PLEASE sleep well and take EXTRA care of yourself.  A low stress lifestyle will keep your immune system strong!

Cheers to being healthy + fabulous in January!

BE FAB FRIDAY! It’s All About The F’s {New Webisode}

Tiff_Fall_closet

HAPPY FRIDAY FASHIONISTAS!

I know what you are all thinking…“It’s about time Tiff!”  All good things come to those who wait.. patiently! LOL.  Trust me, I have missed making videos as much as you have missed seeing them. BUT, it’s been for good reason! Not only has my husband (cameraman) been traveling and crazy busy working on his own amazing projects, I have been focused on becoming a long-distant surrogate mama to a remarkable young woman, plus I’ve been working more with private clients. It’s been an art to keeping it all running smoothly and not to get spread too thin. I’ve been taking my own advice and taking regular “me” time!  That being said, the hard work is paying off and my SOS webseries (my baby) has officially become a toddler and TURNED 3 this month! {{{HAPPY DANCE}}}

I feel like rambling so bear with me…

I’ve been reminiscing about this journey and wanted to encourage any of you who have the dream of starting a business out of a passion. Perhaps you have a message and want to share your voice with the world on a blog, but you are afraid. PLEASE start today! Whatever your passion or message is.. someone in the world needs it and we are all here to help the world in some way or another. Trust me, I was shakin’ in my wedge sandals when I posted my first rinky dink blog. It was about my fave mascara, Voluminous by Loreal. I crack up when I think of it now because I had soooooo much more in my spirit to share than just makeup tips. I still have much more to share! Look how fast 3 years has gone by. Don’t wait another day. I made a business plan, wrote a mission statement and just DID IT! Have I wanted to quit? A million times. What fuels me is YOU…..and the many women all over the world who may need a simple style tip or something deeper that reconnects them to Spirit. All of it is extremely important to me. Have I made mistakes? Heck yea! Ya dust yourself off and keep on keepin’ on. What is inside you that needs to be birthed? Every day that goes by, think of all the people missing out on your gifts.

Ok, back to FASHION! In the latest webisode, I share a handful of styles I think we can all incorporate into our Fall wardrobe without breaking the budget. Check it out:

STYLE Q&A

Hey Style Sisters!

There were several great questions submitted here on the blog and on the Facebook Page and {woohoo} it makes my job a whole lot easier knowing exactly the issues you girls are dealing with in your closets!  In today’s webisode, I tackle 3 great topics:

  1. What to pair with navy?
  2. How to layer without looking like you added 10 lbs?
  3. What’s a cute outfit to wear to my kids games instead of my typical yoga pants?

{Navy is for the fashionista not just the corporate biz man}

{Key to layering= wear thin fabrics}

{No yoga pants except to yoga class}

Wishing you plenty of blue skies, leopard print, red lipstick and bouncin’ & behavin’ hair to make you happy the rest of the week!

A bit of Beauty + Style with a whole lot of Inspiration

Hey Sassafrass!

Hope your week has been full of love, laughter, beauty, magic, blessings, good hair days, leopard shoes and a blemish-free chin!  I had the extreme pleasure of having a girlie lunch with one of our beautiful and inspiring SOS Sisters, the dahhh’ling  Suanne Arvay Rieker.  She is the epitome of health, radiance, positive energy, style, spunk and sass… (I want to be like Suanne when I grow up)  She is also THE example of what a brave female entrepreneur can create in her life.  Ok, can you tell I am her biggest fan? I can’t rave about her enough and feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to meet her in person on her first trip to Hollywood!

More Inspiration…

If you are on the Facebook Page , you may have seen my post about the amazing book by Marianne Williamson, ILLUMINATA.   It is full of beautiful prayers to get you through just about ANY situation.  Here’s a candid video sharing a beautiful passage from her Prayer for Achievement:

A bit of Beauty + Style:

Seriously!  Hallallujahhhhh, Nucerity launched my dream eye serum and I have actually seen results QUICK!  So has a fellow SOS sister. Here’s what she said:  “Tiff, I just have to let you know that the eye serum is definitely working for my under eye puffiness…The bags have literally totally disappeared . My dermatologist noticed, my husband and my friends!! So I’m very  happy about that!”  YAY!  If you would like to try it, go to the link on the right side of the blog. Preferred Customers enjoy a significant discount! Bye Bye Puffy Eyes!

For Fall 2012, don’t be afraid to rock the METALLIC JEAN!  It’s such a fun option to the staple- black- skinny- jeans for date nightPair them with the same tops, blazers and accessories that you would with any jeans. ROCK ON!

FASHION. FRIENDS. FUN.

Happy Friday Fabulous Friends,

I have to say, my first Fashion’s Night Out in LA far exceeded my expectations.  I mean, what’s more awesome than mixing up my fave things: Fashion, Friends and tons of Fun!?!  From the Beverly Center to a hoppin’ party at Hale Bob, hosted by stylist extraordinaire, Laurie Graham, the night was total perfection!  Did you attend any festivities in your city?  One of my dear bestie’s, Vio Meyners of Violetartistry, and I started our girl’s night in the Sanctuary.  Our fashion statement for the night was to ROCK SOME COLOR!

Had to share the GORG clutch I was drooling over last night at one of my fave stores, Henri Bendel.  A leopard clutch is my new must have!  Add it to the list girls.  MEOWWW!

Wishing you all a fun + restful weekend!  Were you successful in implementing this week’s affirmations?  If you weren’t able to take some time to PAMPER YOURSELF- I’m going to remind you again to please fit it in this weekend.  Go get a massage!

Mama’s orders!

Love Ya Sista,

Tiff
