Hey Hey Gorgeous!

My hubby knows I’m not a fan of cold weather so when I ask if it’s cold out — his way of telling me it indeed it is, “Yes, rug up gorgeous!”. That’s Aussie terms for bundle up and put a big coat, scarf and gloves on or you’re gonna freeze. Although I’m not a fan of the cold, I am a fan of a fabulous coat. BE FAB FRIDAY: 5 Fun Fall Bags

We all have to carry a handbag. It’s one of the most important accessories because most of us keep our life in there, right?! So why not switch them out on a regular basis to add some fun & oomph to your wardrobe this Fall. I’ve been in love with the black & gold combo for as long as I can remember, but this Fall it’s hotter than ever. It’s got a disco vibe and pairs with just about any outfit. A popular style this season is the “box clutch” which I found at Sam Moon for about $16. I was beyond thrilled to score this pristine vintage genuine snakeskin clutch at a thrift store for $5.99. WOOP! These will be my go-to’s this Fall!

Bright blue accessories are making a major statement for Fall. A great way to add a pop of color to a fun outfit and be handsfree at the same time is with a crossbody messenger bag from Target. They have so many fab styles right now!

Faux fur and shearling is on everything this Fall. From coats, sweaters, scarves, boots and even handbags. I’ve had this cute shearling bag for about 10 years. One of my vintage souvenirs from my life in LA.

CHILDLIKE WONDER +Plus+ A Fun Style Tip

Happy Humpday Hotstuff,

I trust your week is going great.  Mine just got a whole lot better this morning.  I awoke to the most precious iPhone video from my BFF’s triplets.  Heidi knows the stress I’ve been under and she always knows EXACTLY how to lift my spirits!  Thank God for loving friends.  The video shows three beautiful 2 year olds in their jammies running around saying, “Good Morning Aunt TT”.  Let’s all collectively say, AWWWWW!  They are so adorable and always in total wonder and amazement of the cell phone.  Talk about feeling the love and warming my heart today.  This was such a gift and I am so grateful for this family. 

It was a simple reminder of how VERY important it is to stay in a state of wonder about life.  As adults, we carry the weight of the world on our shoulders and too easily become bitter, cynical and jaded.  Today, if the pressure of life and a massive stack of responsibilities has zapped your zest for life, try to be as present as possible, take a deep breathe and open your eyes to the fun, colorful, magical moments that are all around you.  Make this a daily practice and you will get your zest back and then some.  When we look through jaded eyes, we miss the best moments in life.

FUN + SILLY STYLE TIP:

Of course, I can manage to incorporate a style tip into today’s inspiration… One way I have fun with fashion and keep the sense of wonder alive with my personal style is choosing funky pieces like platform sneakers, a leopard coat or painting my nails a fun color.  Last week, I wore a new pair of black skinny jeans with a hot pink tuxedo stripe down the leg and  felt spunky all day!  Don’t take fashion too seriously. Don’t take yourself too seriously for that matter.

Say Bye Bye to the Big Black Coat!

IT’S PARTY TIME!

Check out the latest webisode for a few great options to wear over your cocktail dresses this season and say “SEE YA” to that ugly clunky black coat! 

My fave option is a winter white coat!  Remember if you are brunette- a lighter coat will make you stand out more!

CHANGE- do you need to make one?

As the year is winding down- are you sensing it’s time to make some changes?  To rearrange some things, refocus on your vision, let go of things that no longer serve your highest good!  We always hear “don’t look in the past”, but sometimes it’s healthy to look back and take an inventory of things we may need to change.  I definitely sense a shift taking place and have learned to get excited about the possibility of CHANGE!   Yes, change can be scary at times, but by taking a leap of faith and getting “un-stuck” in certain areas allows you to grow to new levels in life.   In the long run, it’s scarier to stay the same!  The definition of change is “to make the form, nature, content, future course, etc., of (something) different from what it is or from what it would be if left alone, to transform”.   I love love love the word “transform”!   

I even took a leap of faith with my hair recently.  I wanted a new, fresh look and just grabbed the scissors and whacked my bangs!   I didn’t want to think too long about it and analyze myself out of doing it.  I was nervous because I wasn’t sure what my hubby would think or my agents or producers or even my BFF…then I thought “why the heck should I care what anyone else thinks anyway, right”?  WHAT CHANGES DO YOU WANT TO MAKE IN 2012?  Please comment and let us know.
