I’m a self-proclaimed lipgloss addict and recently cleaned out my purse to find a total of 6 tubes. Really? I know I’m not the only one. A few tips for keeping your lips and face healthy is to pay attention to the texture, smell and any color changes to your makeup. Once there’s a slight change- chunk it! As the ingredients in makeup gets old, it can turn rancid and smells awful. If you have had a cold, cough or cold sore and used a gloss while sick- chunk it! Limit swapping lipgloss, eyeliner and mascara with your friends. Although we may appear to be healthy, we could innocently be spreading germs that could cause serious issues.
Because I only really use foundation when I’m on camera, it is easy for me to keep a bottle forever. When I buy a new one, I take a sharpie and write the date on the bottom of the bottle so I’ll know when to chunk it.
Make it a fun weekend project to go through your makeup and chunk items that are “iffy”. Then head to Target, Ulta or Sephora and get some new things for Fall!

I started modeling at 14 and have had PLENTY of years of practice in front of the camera and learned what to tweak to help you look your most flattering + confident! Luckily, these days with the digital cameras we can see it immediately and do as many retakes as we want! Cracks me up when my friends and I take photos together, we all want to check out how we look right away! Screw how your friends look- we look at ourselves in the photo! You know what I’m talking about:-)
