A BOOTIE KICKING 6 MONTHS

Can you believe we are half way through 2017?  It’s exciting because we have 6 more months to kick some serious bootie by December.  Last year was a challenging time for many of us, but I’m sensing this year is a time of rising above, gaining momentum and moving on.

HOW ABOUT YOU?

Are there a few things on your goal list that you haven’t checked off yet? Are you struggling with a few intentions you’ve set? What is holding you back? Are you making choices out of fear or love? Do you play small?

For the remainder of the year, I challenge us all to be limitless in our thinking and get out of our comfort zone:

    • THINK BIGGER!  If you think small, you achieve little.  Huge risk, Huge reward.
    • EXPAND YOUR VISION!  Look beyond what’s right in front of your face everyday.
    • TAKE ON NEW CHALLENGES! This builds confidence and forces you to grow.
    • PUSH THE BOUNDARIES! Your comfort zone isn’t the Great Wall of China. It’s just in your mind and you can do anything you set your mind to.
    • KARATE KICK YOUR FEARS!  Be like a warrior and kick the crap out of your fears instead of the other way around.
    • DON’T LET ANYTHING OR ANYONE STOP YOU!  Nuff said.
    • TAKE BABY STEPS!  This helps you stay grounded.  Stepping out can cause you to feel off kilter. Taking it slow will keep you balanced.
    • GET OFF THE HAMSTER WHEEL!  Being in your comfort zone can make you feel like you’re going in circles and getting nowhere.
    • STOP MAKING EXCUSES!  Excuses are useless.
    • JUST DO IT!  Once you make up your mind to do something, just get out there and do it already.
Our thoughts are powerful.  We can talk ourselves into, doing or NOT doing, anything. You may say, “I don’t have the money to do this or that or I just don’t have the time”, and trust me- I have used those excuses, but remember, excuses are useless!   They serve no purpose except for keeping you from truly enjoying ALL that life has to offer!   I have learned to feel comfortable being uncomfortable living outside my comfort zone.  Ultimately, it is more uncomfortable for us to stay in the same old, same old.

Group hug and a high five to all of you wise girls who know you are limitless!

Important Life Lessons from Audrey Hepburn

Audrey Hepburn was a legend, most girls still want to be like her to this day. Here are 6 important life lessons you can learn from her.

1. Seize the day

“Pick the day. Enjoy it – to the hilt. The day as it comes. People as they come… The past, I think, has helped me appreciate the present – and I don’t want to spoil any of it by fretting about the future.” (Source)

“I’ve been lucky. Opportunities don’t often come along. So, when they do, you have to grab them.” (Source)

It’s so important to seize the moment you’re in, don’t focus on the negatives and just enjoy what’s happening around you.

2. Don’t worry what anyone else thinks

“I never think of myself as an icon. What is in other people’s minds is not in my mind. I just do my thing.” (Source)

People will always try to label you, so don’t try to live up to other people’s expectations and instead do what makes you happy.

Midweek SOS Beauty, Style & Spirit Tips {New Motivational Vlog}

Hey Style Sistas,

I’ll keep it short & sweet today. Here’s just a few tips to keep you looking & feeling fab this Fall…

//BEAUTY//

pumpkin_facemask

Pumpkin season is approaching and I want to remind you to integrate it into your Fall beauty routine. Pumpkin is packed with Vitamin A & C and it’s blend of antioxidants make it perfect to use on your skin and hair. I love making a DIY mask of pureed pumpkin and honey to exfoliate, plump up wrinkles and the honey adds moisture. There are tons of new pumpkin skincare, bodycare & haircare  products on the market. Make sure to eat it too!

//STYLE//

pinl_faux fur

The hot ‘must have’ coat this Fall is a faux fur in blush pink. I’m totally obsessed!  If this is too bold and bulky, find a vest or even a furry scarf in blush pink. It freshens everything up and pairs beautifully with grey, camel, burgundy and even teal.

//SPIRIT//

As we go into the final few months of 2014, it’s a great time to check in with yourself and gauge your level of Faith VS. Fear. Are you leaning toward fear on a regular basis? Remember, F.E.A.R. is False Evidence Appearing Real. Make sure to envision your life and dreams with the eyes of your spirit. What seems impossible with your physical eyes can be POSSIBLE with faith-filled spiritual eyes.

No time for a pedi and your feet not quite sandal worthy yet? I love neutral low-heeled booties with sundresses & skirts! You can take a dated sundress and make it look modern simply by adding a cool bootie.

SUNDAY AFFIRMATIONS OVERLOAD

Can_will

Hey Beautiful,

I was brainstorming and praying for guidance for this Sunday’s topic and was curious of when and how I started posting the Sunday Affirmations.  I looked back over the history of blog posts and found that I started them last June.  There are several new blog subscribers so I thought I would explain what it’s all about and why I chose Sunday to post affirmations.

Last year, I started noticing a few of my girlfriends– who have small children– venting every Sunday night at how exhausted they were and they hated to start the week totally frazzled and depleted.  We should be refueled and raring to go on Monday morning, right?!  With a few small adjustments, I think we can all feel energized and at peace as we approach the end of the weekend and get prepared for the week.  By setting boundaries, taking “me time”, declining social invitations (and not feeling guilty about it), make a ‘must do’ list and saying positive affirmations– we set our mind and attitude toward having a successful week instead of dreading Monday.  I had fun reading through some of the old affirmations and decided to create a long inspiring list of ones that I need to REAFFIRM and thought you might as well!

THIS WEEK I WILL……

  • Follow my bliss.
  • Smile more.
  • Love + Laugh harder.
  • Embrace my own unique beauty + style.
  • Celebrate my life instead of complain about it.
  • Read a spiritually rich book.
  • Count my blessings every single day.
  • Put my shoulders back, walk tall + shine my light!
  • Drink plenty of water.
  • Pamper myself.
  • Walk in Grace + Peace, no matter what grouch crosses my path.
  • Love my body by getting enough exercise.
  • Shut up my Negative Nellie.
  • Wear my invisible crown because I am a Queen!
  • Try something new…new food, new route to work, new bold accessory.
  • Honor the healthy boundaries I’ve set.
  • Not leave the house w/o my best accessory….my beautiful smile.
  • Be courageous no matter how “wimpy” I may feel.
  • Eat foods rich in antioxidants because my body is a temple.
  • Practice more patience.
  • Help others without expecting anything in return.
  • See myself as healthy, whole, happy and HOT.
  • Send a “just because” hand written note to a dear friend.
  • Take time to decompress.
  • Compliment myself once a day.
  • Embrace that quirk about myself that I’ve always hated.
  • Remove “I’m worried that_” from my vocab.
  • Make more time for girltime.
  • Ignore catty women.  They’re just insecure…poor things.
  • Snack on blueberries + almonds instead of cheese nips + skittles.
  • CELEBRATE ME!
  • Turn my back on mediocrity.
  • Be fabulous not frazzled.
  • Not base my identity on how I look, what I wear or own. I am a Child of God!
  • Book a spa day + massage because I deserve it.
  • Check something fun off my bucketlist.
  • Focus on being healthy instead of the number on the scale.
  • Surround myself with other women of excellence.
  • Listen to a friend in need w/o having to “one up” her story.
  • Be integrity driven, not emotionally driven.
  • Believe in myself more than ever.
  • Choose the side salad instead of the fries.
  • Listen to my gut + stop ignoring it.
  • Start + end each day with a prayer of gratitude.
  • Have more fun w/ fashion + wear a flirty dress.
  • Walk in L-O-V-E not fear.
  • Surrender, take a deep breath and then exhale.
  • NEVER GIVE UP!
  • Step into my greatness…even if it’s one baby step in that direction.
  • Give myself a pat on the back instead of beating myself up.
  • Attend a movie, concert or seminar that inspires me.
  • Lift light weights regularly. It helps my bone density!
  • Go big + stop playing rinky-dink.
  • RADIATE!

I don’t know about you, but I’m totally amped up for the week ahead after reading that list! WooHoo!

Please tweet, pin, like + share this post with your peeps if you found it inspiring.  I appreciate it!

Go kick some serious bootie this week my sistas!

Love, Tiff

ETERNALLY MOTIVATED {Sunday Affirmations + New Year’s Wish}

Hey Rockstar!

Never-never-never-give-up

Who is ready to kick some serious bootie in 2013?  I SURE AM!  Don’t you love the sense of clarity, focus, drive and motivation that comes with the clean slate we’re all given on Jan 1st?  How do YOU keep your level of drive and motivation high all the way through the following Dec?  Do you seem to putter out and give up by the end of Feb?  Several of you have written in lately and asked for my tips on staying MOTIVATED with working out and eating right so I taped a new video with a few suggestions for changing your mindset.  This is the perfect topic as we begin the New Year…..

WATCH THIS:

THIS YEAR I WILL….

  1. Believe in myself MORE than ever.

  2. Go make things happen instead of WHINING about it.

  3. Hang motivational AFFIRMATIONS on my mirror + fridge.

  4. Create a vision board + watch my goals/dreams MANIFEST.

  5. Create a playlist of music that makes me want to MOVE.

  6. Embrace my flaws. They’re what make me UNIQUE!

  7. Stay motivated for LIFE…not just through Feb.

  8. TREAT myself to a new pair of fancy tennis shoes + workout clothes.

  9. Eat protein + vitamin rich ORGANIC FOODS.

  10. Love, nurture, cherish + adore ME!

  11. JUST DO IT!

ROCK_anyoutfit

adventure_begins

My wish for all of you is to find more peace and happiness in 2013 than you ever thought possible.  It all starts with YOU!  Making the choice to love yourself will keep you motivated FOR LIFE!  Look ahead with excitement and let the adventure begin.  Make yourself proud sista!

Thank you for being part of this Sisterhood.  I plan to bring you even more tips, insight, inspiration and encouragement to help strengthen and empower you in 2013.  Please make a comment and share any topics you are interested in discussing.  I want to hear from you!

Lastly, I cannot stress enough the importance of goal setting and visualizing for the year ahead.  Take some quiet time, search your heart and write out your goals and dreams.  Take a few days to do this if need be!  Don’t rush it.  I make it a fun, childlike and creative process and pull out my markers.

A great idea is to list your goals in sections as well.  For example, list them by Personal and Career/Business or take it a step further and list them by 1. Spirit 2. Family 3. Body 4. Career.  I just looked over my 2012 goals and it’s fun to see what has transpired!  If you’re a Pinterest fanatic, create a board of your new year’s goals.  Hmmm, I think I may have to do that myself!

Remain in harmony with God’s will and plan for your life.

Happy New Year!

With Love + Gratitude,

Be Healthy. Be Beautiful. Be Sane.

Hi Beautiful Girl,

Happy Friday! What do you have planned for the weekend?  I know I sound like a broken record, but I hope you find some time to decompress, recharge and calm your Spirit.  I won’t keep you from getting on with it so here’s just a few tips to help you feel healthier, more beautiful and hold on to your sanity!  I believe our inner beauty, health and wellness is much more important than the latest style and makeup tips.  If we don’t feel good on the inside, ultimately- we will not look good on the outside.

The popularity of Green Tea has increased tremendously over the last 10 years. Have you incorporated it into your lifestyle yet? I encourage you to do so. There is a long list of health benefits including:

  • Increases metabolism (woohoo),
  • Lowers blood pressure,
  • Regulates glucose + insulin levels so it helps prevent diabetes,
  • Anti-viral,
  • Lowers cholesterol,
  • Reduces risks of cancer + alzheimers,
  • +PLUS+ the antioxidants help preserve the elasticity in the skin meaning LESS WRINKLES!

LATEST Q + A WEBISODE: No you aren’t crazy!

An important supplement I forgot to mention in the webisode (Brain Fart) is a great Vitamin B-Complex. I love it in sublingual form!  Helps with anxiety, depression, all symptons of PMS, fatigue, heart disease and more.

FINAL TIP:  Enjoy nature. Take a walk. Stop + smell….

High Five to Julie Comeau

SOS Superstars,

I am so thrilled to share this inspirational story with all of you!  Julie Comeau and I connected on Facebook a few years ago and she asked me to be part of her motivational book which releases this year and is appropriately titled “NEVER GIVE UP”.  I am honored to be part of her journey and honored to call her friend.  Get ready to be inspired by this amazing woman!

“Never say you CAN’T, until you try. Transforming myself has been one of the most difficult things that I have ever had to do.  I have lived with a leg injury since 2005 because I was given the wrong surgery and I have never been fixed. Since my first survival story made newspapers and radio back in 1999, my husband was my strength and he helped helping me through my physical challenges.  Then December 28th of 2010, my husband was diagnosed with stage 3 gallbladder cancer.  I had to now be his strength through his physical journey although I was still injured.

I had no clue where or how to start rehabilitating and transforming myself, until I saw an SOS post by the amazing Tiffany Hendra and Natalie Bolton with the 7 steps workout in the Spring of 2011.  This was my new challenge and goal to become stronger, not only for myself, but for those around me that needed my help!  I can honestly say that SOS saved my life because of the 7 steps webisode.  It doesn’t matter how big or small you are or if you can walk or if you can’t for I am living proof that anything is possible.  If I can say anything to you, it would be, MIND OVER MATTER and let your passion guide you!

If something in your life has impacted you to the point that you think that you cannot move forward…FOCUS on the things that you still can do and never on the things that you can no longer do. Remember that the only person in your life that can help you take that next step is……YOU!”
