ETERNALLY MOTIVATED {Sunday Affirmations + New Year’s Wish}

Hey Rockstar!

Never-never-never-give-up

Who is ready to kick some serious bootie in 2013?  I SURE AM!  Don’t you love the sense of clarity, focus, drive and motivation that comes with the clean slate we’re all given on Jan 1st?  How do YOU keep your level of drive and motivation high all the way through the following Dec?  Do you seem to putter out and give up by the end of Feb?  Several of you have written in lately and asked for my tips on staying MOTIVATED with working out and eating right so I taped a new video with a few suggestions for changing your mindset.  This is the perfect topic as we begin the New Year…..

WATCH THIS:

THIS YEAR I WILL….

  1. Believe in myself MORE than ever.

  2. Go make things happen instead of WHINING about it.

  3. Hang motivational AFFIRMATIONS on my mirror + fridge.

  4. Create a vision board + watch my goals/dreams MANIFEST.

  5. Create a playlist of music that makes me want to MOVE.

  6. Embrace my flaws. They’re what make me UNIQUE!

  7. Stay motivated for LIFE…not just through Feb.

  8. TREAT myself to a new pair of fancy tennis shoes + workout clothes.

  9. Eat protein + vitamin rich ORGANIC FOODS.

  10. Love, nurture, cherish + adore ME!

  11. JUST DO IT!

My wish for all of you is to find more peace and happiness in 2013 than you ever thought possible.  It all starts with YOU!  Making the choice to love yourself will keep you motivated FOR LIFE!  Look ahead with excitement and let the adventure begin.  Make yourself proud sista!

Thank you for being part of this Sisterhood.  I plan to bring you even more tips, insight, inspiration and encouragement to help strengthen and empower you in 2013.  Please make a comment and share any topics you are interested in discussing.  I want to hear from you!

Lastly, I cannot stress enough the importance of goal setting and visualizing for the year ahead.  Take some quiet time, search your heart and write out your goals and dreams.  Take a few days to do this if need be!  Don’t rush it.  I make it a fun, childlike and creative process and pull out my markers.

A great idea is to list your goals in sections as well.  For example, list them by Personal and Career/Business or take it a step further and list them by 1. Spirit 2. Family 3. Body 4. Career.  I just looked over my 2012 goals and it’s fun to see what has transpired!  If you’re a Pinterest fanatic, create a board of your new year’s goals.  Hmmm, I think I may have to do that myself!

Remain in harmony with God’s will and plan for your life.

Happy New Year!

HONOR YOURSELF {Sunday Affirmations}

Hello Beautiful Butterflies,

Honor_yourself

HONOR: to regard or treat with esteem or RESPECT.

On my powerwalk this morning, I asked God to give me some inspiration for today’s blog post.   He answered.  Creative and inspired thoughts come to me on my walks and today was extra special because it had to do with my taking time to honor my body with a long walk.   It’s been raining for the last few days here in LA so I’ve missed my hikes and walks.  The rain stopped long enough for me to throw on my tennis shoes and go on a 45 minute walk around the neighborhood.  It felt wonderful– mentally + physically– to honor my body and spirit.  I gave to me.  I was generous to me.  I showed respect to me.  I showed love to me.   Are you honoring YOU?  Are you loving YOU?  Are you generous to YOU?  Women are so giving + generous to everyone around them and often neglect themselves!   If this is you, please understand that you are DISHONORING yourself.  For example, you are dishonoring your body if you skip meals, grab junk on the go and never make time to exercise.  You are dishonoring yourself by allowing others to manipulate you with toxic behavior.  You are dishonoring yourself by ignoring your dreams, plans and desires.   In the week ahead, let’s focus on honoring ourselves on every level– mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually, in our relationships, in our jobs, etc.

THIS WEEK I WILL….

  1. Move my body even if it’s just taking a few minutes to stretch daily.
  2. Realize I am deserving of first class treatment especially from myself.
  3. Buy myself a bouquet of my favorite flowers.
  4. Vocalize that my needs are important.
  5. Release any dishonoring beliefs I have about myself.
  6. Feed my body with plenty of fresh organic fruits + veggies.
  7. Take a good look at myself in the mirror and say, I adore you!
  8. Meditate on those dreams + personal plans  I’ve been ignoring.
  9. Set a hard boundary with that person who’s been manipulating + draining me.
  10. Get “gussied up” and take myself on a playdate.
  11. Write a personal mission statement for my life.

Many of us have written mission statements for our businesses, but how about one for you life?  This week,  grab your journal and write a short + sweet mission statement for YOU.  It could go something like this:

I am a wonderful, talented and beautiful person.  I have many gifts to share with the world.  The world needs my light and I will awaken daily with the intention of shining it.  I will make honoring myself a priority so that I have the time, energy and emotional capacity to share my gifts and light.  I have healthy boundaries and surround myself with healthy people.   I will live with an open heart which gives and receives love freely.  I deserve a happy, healthy and successful life.  I rock!

FEARLESS. FIERCE. FABULOUS. {Sunday Eve Affirmations}

Hey Fearless Fashionista!

I hope you all enjoyed the long weekend and had a beautiful Thanksgiving holiday!  Now it’s time to switch gears and get focused on having a successful week ahead.  For those of you who are new blog subscribers, I want to explain how these Sunday Eve Affirmations came to be…. I began noticing so many women complaining about how exhausted they were by the end of the weekend from all the social engagements, house work and their kids activities.  They would start the week tired, weak, resentful and foggy brained.  Girls, please stop putting so much on your plate!  It’s OK to decline a social invitation from time-to-time.  Hire a housekeeper once or twice a month.  NEVER underestimate the power of staying in your PJ’s all day, once in a while.  Resting, unplugging and nurturing yourself only helps you be a better woman, a better wife, girlfriend, mom, sister, daughter, business woman, friend, etc.  I have learned to keep my schedule manageable and live a slower paced lifestyle.  I have dealt with ulcers and anxiety attacks in the past from trying to do too much, work too much and trying to please everyone all the time.  HALLALUJEH- I’m recovered from all that now and I hope the same for you!

So, I began harping on the importance of taking “ME” time every weekend then took it a step further and created affirmations with an encouraging blog post on Sunday evenings.  Immediately, I received tons of comments from you ladies saying the Sunday blog really helped you get still + set your mind for a positive week ahead.  I don’t know about you, but I need CONSTANT reminders and affirmations to help me stay balanced and keep my clarity.  My computer screen has a million little sticky notes on it and my fridge is covered with quotes, affirmations and Bible verses.  This sista needs it smack in front of her face at all times!  For the week ahead, let’s focus on being fearless and by being fearless, we become our most fierce + fabulous.  HOLLA!

THIS WEEK I WILL NOT BE AFRAID TO….

  1. Take risks.
  2. Say NO!
  3. Try that hot yoga class my friend invited me to.
  4. Keep my plate manageable.
  5. Stand up for myself.
  6. Be ALL that I dream of being.
  7. Listen to my inner voice.
  8. Buy those red high heels + rock ’em!
  9. Give up an old mindset, old habit, old addiction that is holding me back.
  10. Love to the point of complete vulnerability.
  11. RISE UP AND BE MY MOST FIERCE + FABULOUS! (even if it pisses some people off)

I would love to hear your thoughts on this topic!

Please comment, share, tweet + like this post if you found it helpful.  I sincerely appreciate it!

MOTIVATION {Sunday Eve Affirmations}

Hey Soul Sister!

“Motivation” sets the tone for this week’s affirmations because I’m not feeling super motivated today.  Just keepin’ it real.  We all have those days when we want to curl up on the couch, turn the phone off and neglect our obligations.  That’s when my fave terms come to mind and I turn to my tool box for help….”Buck up Tiff” +  “Mind over matter, girl”!   It’s just one of those days and maybe it’s that adjustment period to the time change and wanting to go to bed at 6pm this past week. Who feels me

Join me in getting more motivated this week!  We have the power!

This week I will….

  1. Be integrity driven, not emotionally driven.
  2. Believe in myself more than ever.
  3. Choose the side salad instead of the fries.
  4. Put a muzzle on the Negative Nellie in my head. She sucks and has nothing good to say anyway!
  5. Rock some sparkle + bling because I’m worth it!
  6. Listen to my gut + stop ignoring it.
  7. Start each day with a prayer of gratitude.
  8. Have more fun + wear a flirty dress.
  9. Walk in L-O-V-E not fear.
  10. Surrender, take a deep breath and then exhale.
  11. NEVER GIVE UP!

God bless all of our service men and women who have sacrificed so much to keep us safe!

That’s all I’ve got.

Love, Tiff

COMPLIMENT YOURSELF {Sunday Eve Affirmations}

Hey Style + Spirit Sisters!

How is your weekend going?  I hope you found a moment for some “ME” time.  My weekend has been pretty perfect so far.  My hubby and his band killed it last night at the House of Blue’s Foundation Room on Sunset Blvd.  It was truly surreal because we have eaten there and seen other gigs perform a zillion times.  I’m a proud rock wife!  Ok, enough about me:-)  Let’s talk about how amazing women are!  Well, confident women- I should say.  This Sunday’s topic was inspired by the many gorgeous girlfriends I am blessed to have in my life.  Several of them came out to support my man last night (Thank you girls! Meant the world to me!) and I just love seeing so many stunning and talented women with the ability to shower other women with compliments.

We were like a mega-fashionable cheerleading squad!  Replace the pom poms + pigtails for skinny jeans + crazy cool accessories….  “Girl, I love your hair color… Honey, you look so beautiful tonight… Sista, you give the best hugs… Sweetie, have you lost weight (that’s always the best one, right)” ….and on and on!  Sisk-boom-bahhh!  I’m sure we all left the gig with a pep in our step and our love tanks full.  I know I sure did!  This seems to be a topic I’m harping on quite a bit at the moment- GIRLFRIENDS + GIRLTIME- but, it really is vital for us to cheer one another on and feel connected + appreciated.  I mean, let’s be honest- I love love love getting compliments from my man, but doesn’t it make you feel even  more warm + fuzzy to get a genuine compliment from another woman?

This got me thinking-

I bet most of us never shower OURSELVES with praise or compliments.  AM I RIGHT?  We are able to freely give a ‘shout out’ to others, but when was the last time you gave yourself a pat on the back or looked in the mirror and said, “Girl, you’re rockin’ it today” ???  Do you rely on others to boost your confidence?  Do you feed on others complimenting you and when your ego isn’t stroked, you feel disappointed?  In the week ahead, let’s start making it a daily habit to give ourselves at least one compliment a day!  I think that’s totally do-able….

THIS WEEK I WILL:

  1. Compliment myself once a day.
  2. Embrace that quirk about myself that I’ve always hated.
  3. Remove “I’m worried that_” from my vocab.
  4. Make more time for girltime.
  5. Start claiming 2013 to be the best year ever.
  6. Wear the expensive earrings I’ve been saving for a special occasion.
  7. Ignore catty women.  They’re just insecure, poor things.
  8. Say “hello” to the person in front of me in the checkout line.
  9. Snack on blueberries + almonds instead of cheese nips + skittles.
  10. Hold my shoulders back, engage my core + stand up tall.
  11. CELEBRATE ME!

Please make a comment + share something you love about yourself.  Come on, just do it!  I’ll start…I love that I have the gift of listening to others and my hair is super healthy and shiny!  Ok, your turn.  Ready, set, go!

Share, tweet + like this post if you found it inspiring.  Thanks a bunch!

Wishing you a week full of love, laughter, light, bliss, peace + silly moments!

Love, Tiff

P.S.  It is a very important week for our country.  As you go out and vote, please pray + send positive thoughts that we will appoint the right candidate to lead our nation.  God Bless the USA!

FLICKER TO A FLAME {Sunday Eve Affirmations}

One of my favorite things in the world to witness is women stepping into their DESTINY + SHINING as they should!  It’s exactly the reason I do what I do.  Too often women shrink and play the martyr or victim.  WHY?  What purpose does it serve to live a life below what God has destined for you?  NONE!  ZILCH! ZERO!  Why live life giving out a tiny flicker of your light when there is a MASSIVE FLAME inside you.  We are like the sun and meant to shine our warmth on the world.  You honor God when you step into your greatness.  That’s what you were created to do!  Stop playing so small and rinky-dink!  Ignite the flame, fan it and show the world what you got, baby!

{You were made to shine + be hugely fabulous}

Can you OWN IT this week?  Do you have only brief moments when you feel yourself radiating with love and light and it quickly fades because of some negative circumstance that gets your head spinning or wallowing in your own fear or you allow a toxic relationship to control you?  This week I want you to focus on keeping that flame lit.  FIGHT FOR IT!  My wish is that you all experience more powerful moments than weak ones, more moments when you feel yourself radiating like a flame rather than just a flicker, more moments of clarity rather than confusion that you are right where you are meant to be.   Are you ready?

THIS WEEK I WILL:

  1. Step into my greatness…even if it’s one baby step in that direction.
  2. Stop abusing my body with poor sleep + a poor diet.
  3. Clean out my closet + give things to people who need it. (especially coats + shoes for winter)
  4. Read more + watch TV less.
  5. Set goals to make the final 2 1/2 months of 2012 totally ROCK.
  6. Buy the boots I’ve been drooling over.
  7. Give myself a pat on the back instead of beating myself up.
  8. Attend a movie, concert or seminar that inspires me.
  9. Lift light weights regularly. It helps my bone density!
  10. Not play rinky-dink.
  11. Fight for my flame + RADIATE!

I want to congratulate you for taking a stand for yourself this week.  This is true empowerment!  The definition of em·pow·er is “give power or authority to; to authorize”.  You are authorizing yourself to soar, live the life of your dreams and become ALL (not just a little), but all that you are destined to be!  I salute you girlfriend!

Please make a comment, like, tweet and share these affirmations if you found them inspiring!  Share the love + light with your friends!  Much thanks!

WALK TALL!

Love, Tiff

I AM…. {Sunday Eve Affirmations}

Question? What do you think about yourself?

If someone asked you to describe yourself with brutal honesty- would you shock yourself with your answers?  Do you truly own your strengths and love yourself or do you focus on your weaknesses and beat yourself up on a daily basis?  Just as important as it is to be non-judgmental towards others, we also need to stop judging ourselves so harshly.  So for this week’s affirmations, instead of the usual “I WILL….” list, I have created a long list of positive adjectives for us to read closely and really think about how each word applies to us and how we view ourselves.  If you tend to think negatively about yourself, it’s time to stop it and start focusing on your strengths and unique abilities!

I AM….

  • Confident
  • Brave
  • Powerful
  • Determined
  • Intelligent
  • Wise
  • Strong
  • Courageous
  • Blessed
  • Amazing
  • Healthy
  • Whole
  • Happy
  • Optimistic
  • Successful
  • Hopeful
  • Graceful
  • Wonderful
  • Lovable
  • Valuable
  • Deserving
  • Worthy
  • Compassionate
  • Thoughtful
  • Kind
  • Humble
  • Cheerful
  • Fabulous
  • Fearless
  • Free
  • Magnetic
  • Attractive
  • Beautiful

So, how do you feel about that list?  I’m sure we all have a few that we can completely own and feel confident about and a few that we are unsure of and may have a hard time seeing ourselves fitting that specific description.  I’ll be open and share that often times I feel totally scared, completely insecure, not so graceful and want to make wiser decisions.  Of course, when I am feeling like this it is usually when I’m coming from a fear-based place of ego and in a silly pitty party.  I have learned the tools to get myself back on track when I falter and  have realized it serves no purpose to constantly beat myself up for my short-comings.    We all need to be proud of who we are and who we are BECOMING!  I encourage you this week to start believing in yourself more than ever!  We are all a WORK IN PROGRESS and it takes focus, courage and determination to make the necessary changes in order to grow and become all that you are DESTINED TO BE!  I love the quote below!  Such truth.  I challenge you to be conscious of what you are thinking of yourself.  If you catch yourself thinking a bad thought – STOP- and replace that description with a positive one!  It’s a simple exercise that can completely transform your self-esteem!

I BELIEVE IN YOU!

Love, Tiff

Do you live a life WELL LAUGHED?

You can have all the money in the world, but without your HEALTH…you can’t enjoy it!   Let’s join together in bringing awareness to health & wellness initiatives in our communities!   My own personal mission is to give teenage girls the tools they need to live happy, healthy, empowered lives.  These girls are the Mothers of our future and I feel I have a responsibility to educate them on healthy eating choices, the importance of exercise and how to nurture their Spirits.

I am honored to be one of the five bloggers chosen to be part of THE LAUGHING COW: Live A Life Well Laughed Project.   We had a blast on the day of taping and I was surprised with a chance to try out the curriculum I’m developing for an EMPOWERMENT DAY CAMP!    Teens are the toughest crowd and I have to admit I was a tad nervous, but totally in my element and the girls were very receptive!    I am so grateful to Bel Brands for giving me this opportunity!

This project gives The Laughing Cow & Mini Babybel cheese lovers a chance to help families live a healthy lifestyle.   With your help, The Laughing Cow will donate up to $500,000 to health and wellness initiatives.
